We keep this simple: we only ask for what we need to edit your video and reply to you, we look after the footage you send us, and we never sell your information. Here's exactly how that works.
Who we are
EditorCamp is a video editing studio. We edit wedding films, event coverage, vlogs, and podcasts for filmmakers, studios, couples, and creators. When we say “we” or “us” on this page, we mean EditorCamp. This policy explains what happens to your information when you contact us, hire us, or use your client portal at editorcamp.com.
What we collect
Only a few things, and only for clear reasons:
- When you contact us — your name, email, WhatsApp number (if you add it), any footage or reference links you share, and the details of your message.
- When you become a client — the information needed to run your project: project titles, couple or event names, deadlines, requirements, and the files you upload (for example, footage links or reference images attached to a revision request).
- Automatically, for security — basic technical data such as your IP address and browser, used to keep the site running, prevent spam on our contact form, and protect logins. We don't use this to build a profile of you.
Your footage and project files
Your raw footage is the most personal thing you trust us with, so we treat it carefully. We use it only to create the edit you've asked for. We don't share it with anyone outside the people working on your project, and we don't use it for anything else without asking you first. If you'd like us to remove your files after your project wraps, just ask and we'll delete our working copies.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and send you a quote.
- To plan, edit, and deliver your project.
- To send you project updates, delivery links, and the automatic confirmation email you get after contacting us.
- To keep records of our work together, including invoices and payments.
- To keep our website and your client portal secure.
Cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum. We use small, essential cookies only to keep you signed in to the admin panel or client portal. We don't run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this site.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We only share it in these limited cases:
- Our team — the editors and staff working on your project.
- Trusted service providers — the email service we use to send notifications and replies, and our hosting provider. They only process data so we can run our service.
- When legally required — if the law compels us to.
How long we keep it
We keep contact-form enquiries and project records for as long as we're working together and for a reasonable period afterwards for accounting and reference. We keep working copies of footage only as long as needed to finish and support your project, then remove them on request or as part of our routine clean-ups.
How we protect it
The site runs over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, portal access codes are stored in a scrambled (hashed) form rather than plain text, and access to project data is limited to people who need it. No system is ever perfectly secure, but we take sensible steps to protect what you share.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also ask us to stop emailing you (though we'll still need to send essential messages about an active project). Just email us and we'll sort it out.
Children
Our services are meant for businesses and adults. This site isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we update how we handle your information, we'll change the “last updated” date above. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
